Reporting to Parents on Pupil Progress in Religious Education
- 26/04/2011
- Categorized in: SCES News
Further to an earlier posting about the SEEMIS management information systems which some schools use to report on pupil progress, it appears that that the Es and Os for RERC have not yet been loaded on to school systems, despite previous assurances that this work would be completed in March 2011.
Catholic schools, when using reporting on pupil progress, should, of course, use the appropriate RERC framework for recording progress in Religious Education in P1-P7 and in S1. Schools should not use the RME framework to because it is not relevant to the work of Catholic schools.
In schools where this is a current issue, Head Teachers are advised to contact their education authority colleagues to clarify why the SEEMIS system has not been updated to reflect the RERC framework. In the meantime, if you have any related concerns, please contact SCES.

The Outcomes for Catholic Religious Education (RERC) have now been loaded. There's a simple set up that needs to be done, but they are now on.
