Holy Cross Primary School is a denominational school. It serves the Govanhill, Crosshill and Mount Florida areas of Glasgow. The school recently enrolled 36 children from a neighbouring school which had closed. The roll was 427 when the inspection was carried out in August 2009.
Fifty-five percent of children attending the school are learning English as an additional language. Twelve new members of staff started at the school in August 2009. Children's attendance was in line with the national average in 2007/2008.
